No. LiDAR scanning is the fastest way in, but it is one of four. You can tap each corner as you walk the room on any supported iPhone, import a blueprint PDF and trace it, or type dimensions in by hand.
Print the report with the assumptions section turned on. Every built-in default the app used is disclosed there — wall assembly and framing correction, infiltration rate, shading coefficients, duct gains, internal loads. In nearly every case the difference traces back to one input rather than the method.
You draw every run. That is deliberate — you know where the joists, the chases and the soffits are, and no app does. The app's job starts once the layout exists: it sizes each run to the friction rate derived from your blower's static pressure, filter, coil and total effective length.

Not from our end — we never had a copy. Restore the device from an iCloud or Finder backup made before the project disappeared. Export finished jobs to PDF as you go; that file lives in your Files app and survives anything that happens to the project.
